Thank You, Grandma!

Marley got a Happy Birthday/Halloween package from her Grandma in Kentucky today.

After playing with it for quite awhile...

She finally decided to try to gnaw it open with her teeth.

Eventually, with a little help from mommy, she got her present open!

Marley has always LOVED this blankie from Holly.

It's her FAVORITE. She has to cuddle with it to sleep.

As soon as her hand touches the blanket, it goes up to her cheek and her finger goes in her mouth.

At 9 months she started walking around EVERYWHERE as long as someone was holding her hand.

She loves turning on the Roombas and then chasing them around the house.

She'll also climb on top of them and push them herself (do you think our warranty is still good??) =)

Who needs a Roomba with a timer when you have a baby that turns them on when she's tired of crawling on the filthy floors??

My baby is WALKING!!!...and talking!!

it's kinda long but pretty amusing..

FUN.

On the 29th I got to see my favorite band perform a Free in-store show.

The lead singer used to be in the band 'The Format'. They were a local band here in AZ, but became somewhat popular towards the end. You may recognize their songs, "The first single" or "Tune Out" or "She doesn't get it" from the radio.

They broke up and the singer started a new band called FUN. 

They just finished touring with Manchester Orchestra (which I got to see while I was in Kentucky, and then again here in AZ).

Now they're touring with HelloGoodbye. They stopped here to do an in-store concert at Zia Records to promote the release of their first album "Aim and Ignite".

I went with my sister, Linsey and we were right up front.. we could of grabbed him if we really wanted to.

So, I got some great shots..it was sooo much FUN!!! (no pun intended!)

I brought a sign that said "Hi Trisha" on it to take a picture with Nate for my little sister that lives in Kentucky.

I sent it to her and she FREAKED out! haha.. I have good ideas.

He was so sweet about it.. he was like, "awww that's so cute!" "well, Tell Trisha I said HI!!.. ya know, in case the whole picture thing doesn't work out and send her the message... let her know I said hi!" .. She got a kick out of that.

Marley LOVES puppy! In fact, she acts like her A LOT.. They have a lot of the same mannerisms. weird huh?

Here's one of the times they were playing together.

They both like to chew on water bottles. They just laid there staring at eachother, chewing on their own water bottles. It was sooo funny!

Happy Birthday, Van!!

Van turned the big 2-5 a couple weeks ago.

YAY! He's finally as old as ME again!! (Yes, he married an older woman.. and he's PROUD of it!)

The day before his birthday, Van decided at the last minute he wanted to go to F1 Raceway. Some of the family got together and Van, Dawson, Me and Jenny all got to race eachother.

The family met up again for dinner at Garcias. Van said, "no singing.. don't have them sing to me"... so THIS is what he got....

OH, and then right after, the Garcias crew came in and sang as well. haha SUCKER!

Van got to open some more presents. Some tools, Spongebob fruit snacks, Spongebob DS game, and even Spongebob Jammies!

I don't know if Van's trying to look like Spongebob in this picture or if he just is REALLY THAT EXCITED!??

Aaaannnd.. Marley got to play with more wrapping paper.

So our brother and sister are out traveling the country (check out their blog HERE )...

They think they're soooo cool!! 

Well, we decided to rent a giant inflatable slip n slide just to spite them.

Also, to prove that you can have MORE fun just staying home!

AANNND.. maybe make them cry just a little when they see what they are missing out on.

(Can you tell we're a little jealous yet??)

Day 1: our friends, Justin and Amy, came over to help us test it out.

We had plenty of races... Us girls were just working on trying to make it all the way to the end.

The boys had no problem with that and would land in the swimming pool we placed at the end just in case.

(It probably helped that we loaded the thing up with dish soap!)

The boys wanted some more excitement, so they started to get creative.. Jumping over the sides, bouncing off the middle, seeing how high they could get, we even tried holding onto a rope and pulling eachother across

Puppy kept jumping onto it too .. we didn't even have to make her! You'd be sliding on it then next thing you knew puppy would be dashing past you!

Day 2:

We invited the family over just to make Dawson and Jenny EXTRA sad.

Abby didn't really want to go on. It took me an hour and a half to convince her it was gonna be AWESOME!! (AND we needed more pictures of family having fun for the jealousy factor).

She seemed like she ended up having the MOST fun! She giggled the entire time.

While everyone played and had a good time, Van delegated to Lloyd and made him sweep the new walkway and had Marley laugh at him. (Lloyd saw me take this picture and said, "I better not see that on the blog!!"... Don't people know when you say that you're just asking for it????)

After the family left, Van called up a bunch of kids in our ward and they all came over til it got dark.

All in all it was the BEST time of our lives and only ONE kid lost a leg!
